Before your visit
Choose your appointment
Know whether you need a First, Second, or Third Class exam. If you have a certification concern, consider a consultation first.
Complete MedXPress when appropriate
For an FAA medical exam, complete your application before your appointment. If you are booking a consultation or have questions about applying, discuss them with the office first.
Save your confirmation number
Have your MedXPress confirmation number ready to bring to your medical exam.
Pack for your appointment
Bring glasses or contact lenses
Bring the corrective lenses you use, if applicable.
Gather medications and requested records
Bring your current medication list, any records the office has requested, and relevant FAA correspondence. Requirements depend on your history.
Questions before an exam?
A medication, medical condition, prior deferral, or FAA letter can change what you need to bring. Speak with an AME if you are unsure.
