COMMON FAA MEDICAL QUESTIONS
Answers pilots look for before an exam.
What should I bring to my FAA medical exam?
Bring government-issued identification, your MedXPress confirmation number, corrective lenses if used, and any requested medical documentation.
How long is a MedXPress application active?
The FAA says an application must be imported by an AME within 60 days after submission.
What happens if an AME defers my exam?
The FAA reviews the application and generally sends a letter identifying any additional information it needs.
Can a pilot with ADHD qualify?
The FAA currently provides Fast Track and Standard Track evaluation pathways. The applicable path depends on the pilot’s history.
Does the FAA publish an approved medication list?
No single list determines eligibility. The condition, medication, dosage, side effects, and flight-safety impact all matter.
Do you provide BasicMed exams?
No. Pilot Physician provides First, Second, and Third Class FAA medical exams and pilot consultations.
